EFY

I don't know if this has anything to do with Integrity, but I want to share some things I felt prompted about at one of my favorite places on Earth...

 EFY!!!

first really fast, why I love it so much.

First, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that I get the chance to study my scriptures with amazing tips from FANTASTIC counselors every day.  That special time to read the instructions we have from God is invaluable.  I loved it!

Second, I love the counselors!!  They teach me sooooo so so so so much!  I miss having them there to be a guide and a reference and a friend, but I know that even though I am not seeing them right now they support me.

Third, the other youth!  I love them all.  Seriously I might sound a little exaggerated right now, but there is no way I can ever describe how absolutely incredible it is to have all these feelings of "I'm alone in my standards, everyone here doesn't get it because they're around other youth all the time" or whatever, and then you go, and everyone feels the same way!  The second to last day I started crying because I had this sudden impression of all these people, my brothers and sisters and friends, holding me up when I couldn't do it myself.  It was an amazing feeling.

Fourth, the Holy Ghost.  I feel, so close to my Heavenly Father when I'm there.  Close to my Heavenly Father and all his children.  It's really comforting.

Finally, it's just really fun!  Clean, hilarious fun with awesome people your age!  What else would you rather do for a week out of your summer.  And, if you do the BYU campus one like I did, the creamery is available.  ;D

Okay now, that was't quite as fast as I meant it to be but whatever, things I learned that were special to me:

First, I am enough.  That's always nice to hear.  Just a short one.  Also, my session director Brother Townsend said "the only thing you need in your makeup kit is the Holy Ghost" I can't remember if he was quoting someone or if he came up with that but either way it was a good thought.

Just some tidbits:

We should always have an attitude of "I'm always gonna be there to help someone else"

1 + God = the Majority

violence and the acceptance of it leads to "terrifying, destructive results" so don't be afraid to stay far from it.

guilt can cause us to improve, but shame is a destructive feeling that will lower our self esteem and bring us down.  learn to recognize the difference.

take pride in the fact that you are a disciple of Christ.

That's all for right now, but I have a notebook full of stuff to remember, so I hope I never forget it.  Have a great day today!

P.S.  I would have pictures so its not just a bunch of words but one of my many beautiful siblings that are always perfect lost the camera SD card with allllll of my pictures on it.  Woohoo!!! Patience is a virtue. ;D  I'll survive, but that's why its all words.
